It took a lot for me to realize the horrible things about my past relationship, only after it had ended. Toxic relationships can be hard to identify sometimes when you’re in them. You come to love or be infatuated with a person and then blind yourself and convince yourself everything is fine, when it’s not. Just like that, I remained in such a relationship for almost 3 years.

Solstice
A solstice. The summer solstice is when the sun reaches the highest point in the sky, making it the longest day. For you, that may just be it. For me, this summer solstice has meant something more.
I have reached my highest ebb. I am at the highest point I can be, and right now I am experiencing a freedom that I would have never guessed was missing a month or two ago. Tomorrow I walk up on a stage in front of both familiar and unfamiliar faces to finally grasp a piece of paper that I have worked 12 years of my life on. Tomorrow, everything that has happened in the past four years becomes mainly irrelevant.

I’m always wondering about what our decades and generation will be known for. I’m starting to think that this is where we all get wise. This is where we have the resources, and can have the knowledge to live a more free, natural, and more importantly, genuine life. That is, if we get out of our consumerism driven lives and look deep into what we often ignore but live by. We have to admit it at some point- our American social structure is ALL built on just one thing… the all-consuming media.

An Update… and an Explanation
YAY merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah!!! Yay ok we’re done our congratulations….
Now. I highly suggest you look over my updated Her and about my blog pages. Really… To begin, it could explain a lot.
Ok, now down to the real business… What was up with the Space Adventures of Gil and Stacey post? Well. We can assure you we were not tripping on acid. What it really was, was the last little itty bits of my phone battery life used on 4G to blog during a major power outage. I stayed over at Gil’s and so as crazy as we were we painted our nails clear glow in the dark and wrote something for you to know that we were ok and not dead.
